I studied abroad during the fall of 2022 and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I spent it with a host family who really helped me experience the culture and amazing people I met through my program. I also got to travel to many places around Spain thanks to CIEE for free. Experiencing an entirely new culture full of warm people was a blessing for sure. It surprised me how open and kind everyone there was from first glance and I made connections with both Spanish people and other exchange students that I will always cherish. There was also so much to do in Sevilla where I was from sight seeing to the nightlife. The city is also extremely walkable and accessible which made it so easy to be independent and spontaneous. I miss this experience so much and really recommend it to everyone who can take it.

I could not have had a better experience than I did at CIEE!! First of all, the facility itself is incredible- beaaauuutiful old building, located perfectly in a super cute part of town (make sure to stop into Susie's cafe!!). CIEE as a program was phenomenal- my professors taught me so much about Spain and Sevilla specifically, the student guides became some of my closest friends, and we went on incredible trips around Andalucia. I owe my experience getting everything I could out of my time in Sevilla to the CIEE team!

I did a year in Seville, Spain through CIEE 2022-2023 and had the best time ever! The staff at CIEE Seville is amazing and really wants to help you succeed in all aspects. It was also just nice to know there was always someone at the center you could talk to for whatever reason. They also hire Spanish students to help you integrate more within the society. Living with my host family was also a great experience, and I especially loved taking my host family's dog out on walks. I also completed an internship through CIEE while taking classes at their study center and through two host universities (la Universidad de Sevilla and el Centro Universitario EUSA). Also, the excursions/activities that CIEE provide are –I would say–essential. I definitely wouldn't have been able to organize that much travel all on my own. But with CIEE I was able to visit so many cities in Andalucía (Granada, Cordoba, Ronda, Cádiz, Málaga). And the Mejor en Español activities helped me get to know more Spaniards and make friends for life. All-in-all, I highly recommend CIEE Seville.

Mi experiencia ha sido bastante mala, y estoy muy desilusionada.Veo que van un poco al interes de ellos,cuando le hes hecho falta para meter a chicas celiacas o que no querian estar en otra coasa no he puesto problema.Y por una estudiante que era un poco especial y que no me puntuo bien, dicen que ya no cuentan conmigo...a parte que pagan poquisimo comparado con otras porganizaciones

NOT GIVING STUDENT REFUNDS!!!
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY.
I know it’s just a one off, to have a single one star review…but this is real. I tried my best to find “exposed ciee” but when nothing came up, I was thinking, “well they can’t be that bad…” I found out for myself how bad it was. I’ve spent 2 semesters at CIEE and the first semester went well. But once Corona hit, they snatched the students money and now are going back on their word. They are sending copy and paste emails to the students, they aren’t replying, and are even using their own fine print to twist their words so they won’t have to refund us. I remember going to class everyday and the building was full of staff, but I didn’t even know their job titles. They just sat in their offices, hidden away, get our money and we, as the students, didn’t even know what their purpose was. Some of the teaching staff didn’t even have an office inside the CIEE building, but a whole bunch of random people did. The email said up to 500$ in a change fee. It came from an email from the director, it came from the mouth of someone who work their, and now the billing team is trying so hard to keep that 500$. I spent way way more than that to get back home. The least they can do is refund the money. The billing team even had the audacity to tell me “well we never suggested you buy a completely new ticket,” while at that time, CIEE wanted us out of Spain by the 22 of march. How was I supposed to get home, WITHOUT buying a new ticket with TAP when they didn’t even have changes available? These are the questions they are NOT willing to answer and I would never EVER recommend this company to anyone. Call me bitter but I have ALL the receipts, screenshots, and better yet, I know plenty of students who have suffered through this same saddening situation. If you want proof or want to know more about this, I ENCOURAGE you to reach out to me!! I’m not writing this out of spite, but I wouldn’t wish this upon ANYONE! We all work so hard for our money so what they are doing is unethical and heartless, especially now with people not having work. Please, please contact if you want to know more about my experience.
